Kuehne+Nagel has appointed three new representative agents in Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Guyana, aiming to expand and strengthen its presence in the Caribbean region, where it has had operations since 1994 with their head offices in Panama.
Gulf and Maritime Services Limited, one of the leading providers of comprehensive logistics services in the Caribbean, is the new agency in Trinidad and Tobago, country whose economy is largely based on oil and gas production. The agent is specialised in customised logistics and transportation solutions, including customs brokerage, warehousing, vessel management, and cargo supervision.
In Barbados, an economy that excels in sectors such as tourism, manufacturing, technology, and healthcare, Kuehne+Nagel has entered an agreement with Eric Hassell Shipping Limited, a company that has been operating since 1969 and has established itself as a leader in the country’s maritime trade. This partnership will enable Kuehne+Nagel to offer freight forwarding, customs brokerage, bonded warehousing and services for vessels and Non-vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) agents, strengthening its ability to meet the logistics needs in this market.
In Guyana, Kuehne+Nagel has appointed Muneshwers Ltd as its new agent. The new partner is a family-owned company that provides air and sea logistics, customs brokerage, warehousing, inland transportation, and acts as a terminal operator for MSC. Guyana, with a GDP growth of 27% in 2023, is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, driven primarily by the energy sector.
